Junior Schools Cup is an annual volleyball festival targeted at year 7 and 8 high school students. The event is held across various venues at the Gold Coast, including the 2018 Commonwealth Games facilities at Coomera and Carrara. Catering to approximately 2,000 students over three days, athletes of all skill levels are welcome.
Primary Schools Cup. Primary Schools Cup is an annual outdoor, one-day tournament aimed at at students in years 4-6. Held at Craigslea State High School, this event adopts the Spikezone competition format playing four-a-side mini volleyball on smaller courts and lower nets. Attracting over 800 students, athletes of all skill levels are welcome.
Volleyball QLD: Junior & Year 11 Schools Cup Results. Five of our Canterbury volleyball teams competed at the combined Volleyball Queensland Junior and Year 11 Schools Cup which took place from Friday 22 – Sunday 24 October just gone. Our Year 7 Boys unfortunately lost their repechage to qualify for the top eight in a thrilling 16-14 final set.

Volleyball – Queensland School’s Cup. Our Senior Boys Volleyball Team recently competed in Volleyball Queensland’s Schools Cup – a competition that is attended by schools state-wide. Over the first two days of competition, our team was undefeated, dropping only one set throughout the preliminary rounds. This meant that they qualified as the number one team from the pool.

On Thursday, the 2nd of September, 38 students from Years 5 and 6 competed in Volleyball Queensland’s Primary Schools Cup. The day was full of fun, laughter and lots of great opportunities for students to learn about volleyball and team cohesion. Teams pursued through the highs and lows of volleyball, with one team winning a bronze medal. We hope the players had as much fun as we did and that they will be back again next year for another great tournament.
